THE TREND: UPDATED ANIMAL PRINT
While we admit that we think animal prints look great every season, there’s something about these playful patterns that pairs perfectly with a crisp autumn day. And they’re bigger than ever for fall. From eye-catching separates to sophisticated outerwear and everything in between, look for your favorite stripes, spots, and scales in every way, shape, and form this season.

HOW TO WEAR IT:
For a chic wardrobe update, trade in your LBD for an allover print piece in a classic silhouette. Swap out a blazer for a leather jacket and this new staple can take you from the office to a night out in a flash. Not sure you’re ready to go full-on animal? There are plenty of subtle ways to still incorporate the trend into your ensemble. Add a pop of color to any outfit with a jungle-inspired accessory. A pair of flats, a belt, or a textured bag are some of our favorite animalistic add-ons. Feeling a little wild? Make a bold statement by incorporating more than one animal print into your outfit.

THE TREND: UNEXPECTED PLAIDS
While plaid is no stranger to the fall fashion scene, the classic print has gotten a fresh update for 2018. As one of the more versatile prints, plaid has an uncanny ability to be dressed up or down—and that’s truer than ever for fall. This season, look for the timeless pattern in quirky shapes, bold palettes, and unconventional combinations.

HOW TO WEAR IT:
Go full force into fall by pairing a swingy plaid mini in a bright shade with subdued solids. For an office-friendly wardrobe update, combine two seasonal trends and throw on a menswear-inspired blazer in muted glen plaid. Feeling extra bold? Take your look up a notch and try mixing your plaids by color, texture, pattern—or better yet, all of the above.

THE TREND: SHAPELY STRIPES
A perennial staple of warmer-weather fashion, stripes are one of the prints we’re most excited to see making a comeback for the cooler days ahead. This season’s stripes are all about shape: from curve-hugging jumpsuits to figure-flattering frocks, expect to see a smattering of horizontal and vertical lines across a range of silhouettes.

HOW TO WEAR IT:
Go all in on this trend with graphic head-to-toe stripes. Try a maxi dress or jumpsuit with strong lines (bonus points for bold colors). Complete the look with solid accessories in complementary hues. For a different twist on the trend, opt for more subdued stripes (think thinner lines in dark or muted tones) in accentuating cuts like a wrap dress or wide-leg pants. A shrunken sweater in earthy tones is a failsafe option for daytime. Pair with jeans and chunky heels to complete the look.
